Interfaith
The Oxford Diocesan Committee for Inter-faith Concerns (ODCIC) was set up by the Diocese with the following aims in mind:
  • To be a forum in which inter-faith concerns, as they affect the Diocese, can be explored;
  • To keep members of the Diocese aware of other faith communities and their sensitivities;
  • To help parishes, deaneries and the Diocese to relate to other faith communities in an appropriate manner;
  • To support individuals, and local groups engaged in inter-faith dialogue.
This work involves engaging with a wide range of different groups: some lay-led, some secular, some Christian, some voluntary, some with paid staff, and many involving people of many different faiths. ODCIC, in addition to its own work, therefore seeks to keep in touch with all other inter-faith work going on throughout the three counties within the Diocese – i.e. Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
