The film of The Da Vinci Code, comes out this week (Friday 19 May). Fans of Dan Brown’s bestselling book will be flocking to see it, with its star studded cast, including Tom Hanks, Audrey Tatou, Ian McKellan and Paul Bettany.
The Church of England has set up a web page to help people interested in the film explore some of the controversial issues it raises. One of the claims in the novel is that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, and another that the Church suppressed this information for almost two thousand years.
