Psalm 23 for Children's Workers
The Lord is my Shepherd and I try to be their Shepherd!
I have most things I need (but one pair of scissors between 3 children is a challenge).

I bring them to the place of play so their parents can rest.
We drink squash or water. I wish it were quiet.
They know the way to go, especially toward the biscuits,
I provide those for the leaders too.

I watch over the sheep as they run around,
it would help if I had a crook,
in order to stop Johnny climbing in the dangerous places.

Even if the group gets too big, I won't be afraid.
I will make a parent or two to stay with me.

When trouble seems all around me,
I have an extra game to play.
I am overflowing with good ideas!

I try to be patient and forgive them.
The things they do and say stay with me,
in my heart for ever and ever.
I hope they realised I loved them too.
