Date Added: Thursday 18th November 2004

Full Lists
Full lists of Fairtrade suppliers can be found online for Milton KeynesOxford , and Reading .

Supermarkets

Most supermarkets now stock at least some Fairtrade products. The largest range can be found at the Co-op , all of whose own-brand coffee and chocolate are now Fairtrade. Co-op stores also stock Fairtrade sugar, wine, tea, cocoa, juice and a variety of Fairtrade fruits (bananas, mangoes, pineapples, grapes, etc – the selection varies by season). In addition, they are introducing many new products made with Fairtrade sugar and cocoa: biscuits, brownies, cakes . . . even cranberry sauce.

  • Asda carries Divine and Green & Black chocolate, Fairtrade coffees and teas by CaféDirect and Clipper, Fairtrade bananas and Fruit Passion juices.
  • Budgens carry Fairtrade tea, coffee and bananas.
  • Sainsbury’s carry Fairtrade bananas, Geobars, Green and Black’s Maya Gold, Fruit Passion juices and a variety of Fairtrade tea and coffee.
  • Somerfield’s offer own-label (and other-brand) Fairtrade tea and coffee, bananas and pineapples, and Divine and Dubble chocolate.
  • Tesco carries a wide range of Fairtrade teas, coffees and other products in selected stores. It also launched an expanded own-brand Fairtrade product line during Fairtrade Fortnight this year, which includes (among other things) coffee, juice, biscuits, apples, oranges, bananas, mangoes, grapes, wine and Fairtrade roses.
  • Waitrose shops carry a good variety of Fairtrade coffees, teas, and fruits, as well as Fairtrade wines, Divine and Green & Black chocolates and cocoa, Dove’s Farm Fairtrade biscuits and Fruit Passion juices.
