OCIC – the Oxford Christian Institute for Counselling – was founded in 1985 by an interdenominational group of churches, to serve all the churches of the region. Our core activity is counselling, which we make available to all, Christians and non-Christians alike. We have a bursary scheme which ensures that counselling can be afforded whatever the income of the client. All our counsellors are Christians and we hold Christ’s healing power and love at the centre of our counselling process. We are trained in the main secular models of counselling and observe the professional and ethical standards of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
We also provide supervision, training and workshops in pastoral care for parishes, conferences and retreats.
To contact OCIC to arrange an introductory appointment or to discuss any way in which we may help your parish, ring 01865 308889, or write or visit our website.
