"Ministerial development review is about practising what we preach as Christians -that people are valuable, deserve proper time and attention and are made in God's image."
Clergy Terms of Service Implementation Group, 19 Oct 06
The purpose of the Ministerial Development Review is to assist you, as a member of the clergy in this Diocese, in developing your ministry. MDR has been part of clergy life in the Diocese of Oxford and throughout the Church of England for some years. In this Diocese, MDR now takes the form of an annual review of each cleric’s ministry.Every three years, your review will be with your area bishop or archdeacon. In the intervening years, your review will be with a trained bishop’s reviewer. The review is an opportunity for you to reflect on the previous year and to identify priorities and development needs for the next year. The process of Ministerial Development Review helps the bishops and their officers to deliver the diocesan mission and strategy, and to plan Continuing Ministerial Development.
