The Diocesan Mission and Pastoral Committee, with its archdeaconry sub-committees, oversees clergy deployment in the diocese and formulates proposals in accordance with the Pastoral Measure 1983 for pastoral reorganisation, such as the union of benefices or parishes, changes to parish boundaries, and the establishment of team or group ministries, all in the light of the changing pastoral needs of the diocese.
